Where I shop!
My style has changed quite a lot over the past years and I am finally so happy with the pieces in my current closet. Thought I would share my absolute favorite places to shop in case you are trying to recreate a look or play around with your style!
Jewelry
I have recently become obsessed with jewelry and have had trouble in the past looking for affordable pieces that don’t turn brown after one wear (I’m a gold gal and I definitely can not afford real gold at this time)Mejuri
I started off by being sent a piece by this brand and didn’t know if I would be impressed of not. After wearing it almost every day for the past couple months and it still not showing sign of wear, I have begun to love this brand! I have purchased other pieces from them now and especially love their hoop options!Vibeszn
My friend introduced me to this brand and I wasn’t so sure about it at first because it just looks like your classic Instagram trendy jewelry boutique. After ordering some pieces from them I can say that their pieces are super unique and they have almost everything customizable including rings, necklaces, and earrings!Thrift Stores
Thrift stores are definitely my number one place to shop. Being a fashion major, I know all about the amount of textile waste this industry creates, so I like to do my part in trying to help the environment as much as possible.San Francisco
San Francisco is a great area for thrifting. Although, because it is so popular, sometimes stuff can seem picked through and it can be hard to find those super cool, one-of-a-kind pieces. Try to look for thrift stores in less popular areas!Goodwill
Goodwill is one of my favorite spots to shop! If you dig you can find a lot of cool items, and they are at a way lower price point than other stores! At goodwill I normally look for leather jackets, blazers, and jeans. My favorite location is actually location at 822 Geary St in the tenderloin! Because items are most likely going to be very worn in this store, look for good quality materials that will last you long, rather than thin knits and sweaters. The brown leather jacket below I found here for $16.
Wasteland
I love wasteland because everything is already picked through for you! I come here if I’m willing to spend a little more money, and looking for some more unique and trendy vintage pieces. The puffer in the picture below is from Wasteland for $30.
Indigo Vintage
Also located on Haight Street, Indigo is a cute little hole in the wall thrift store. I also go here to find trendy vintage, although most of their stuff is super affordable! Crewnecks and hoodies run around $40 and some tops around $20!I try to stay away from stores such as Buffalo Exchange and Crossroads because their items always seem to be off trend and very worn.
Berkeley
Honestly, probably my #1 place to thrift! Stuff is super low price points here because it is aimed at all students and there’s always a lot of stuff to go around!
Buffalo Exchange
Ok I know I said earlier to avoid the SF buffalos, but the Berkeley buffalo exchange is a completely different story. This store is much bigger, and their stuff is less “trendy” and more timeless. They always have a ton of leather and denim jackets and I honestly prefer the men’s section over the women’s. This is a must-visit when in Berkeley!
Indigo Vintage
This is the other location of this store and in my opinion, it is also better. It is a co-op so a bunch of different people selling vintage clothes all have their stands set up, so each stand is a slightly different style! Go here if you are looking for some super cool crewnecks, hoodies, or jeans!
Mars Mercantile
This store is sooo amazing! The company also have a store on Haight street called Held Over. I never really visit that store because a lot of their clothes are true old vintage stuff and that’s just not really my style. However, because this store is right on Telegraph everything is super cheap and they have tons of product! I have bought so many things from here including: leather jackets, flannels, jeans, army jackets, tshirts, birkenstocks, boots, and sweaters. I highly reccomend checking out their jeans if you aren’t too lazy to try them all on because the price point for a pair of Levi’s is around $20!!! You just can’t beat that. Women’s is upstairs and mens is downstairs.
Anastasia Clothing
This is a super cute and unique store. In the fron half, they have super on trend cheap wholesale pieces and then the whole back is a thrift. I normally come here for the center row which is an extra 50% all the time! You can score leather jackets and jeans on here for under $10!!! Also check out the back section for a bunch of graphic tees!
Online Stores
Asos
My absolute favorite online store go-to is Asos! ASOS offers a bunch of different brands all in one place! They always have student discount which is nice and the what’s new page always has new curated folders of trendy clothes. If you shop the Asos Design brand everything is super affordable!
Missguided
I love missguided for strictly basics. Their website is always cheap and their crewnecks and hoodies are my absolute favorites, I literally have one in like every color haha. The crewneck below is from there and I bleached it myself!

**Tips**
- Shop with a thoughtful mindset, ask yourself questions like: how many times will I wear this?
-
Ask yourself if you can make something yourself for cheaper. Although some of you may not know how to sew, things like tie dye and bleaching can be easily taught by looking it up on youtube! For example, my crewneck above would be seen at urban outfitters for probably around $70! But mine was around $15 and all I did was pour some bleach on it and then throw it in the washer for the same exact effect!
-
Try thrifting something before you buy it brand new (after all doesn‘t everyone prefer a slouchy worn in t shirt over a stuff brand new one??)

italian food and not too pricey.

Castro
I lovee the castro district. It is filled with fun shops and restaurants.
